Opportunity Description
PHD RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY
Makerere University School of Public Health invites applications from Uganda-based candidates for a PhD position under the MIDWIZE component of the EMBOLDEN Health Programme.
RESEARCH FOCUS
1. Adapt the MIDWIZE maternity care model to the Ugandan context.
2. Support implementation and scale-up of the model.
3. Evaluate implementation and outcomes of the MIDWIZE maternity care model in Uganda.
Requirements
ELIGIBILITY
1. Applicant must be based in Uganda.
2. Hold a master’s degree in Midwifery, Maternal and Newborn Health, Public Health, Implementation Science, or a closely related field.
