Opportunity Description

12-month TIMERA training fellowship for 50 African public health professionals in infectious disease modelling and data-driven epidemic response. Combines online learning, two intensive two-week face-to-face training blocks, supervised internships, applied research projects and specialised mentoring.

Experience requirement
At least 2 years of post-master's experience in a sub-Saharan African organisation.
Requirements
Relevant Master's degree (or equivalent) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Field Epidemiology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Demography or Health Informatics.
At least 2 years of post-master's work experience in a sub-Saharan African organisation, preferably a Ministry of Health, NPHI, academic or research institution.
Employer support letter confirming release time for both in-person training blocks, access to relevant data, and continued employment for at least 2 years after fellowship completion.
Able to travel to Addis Ababa and attend both face-to-face blocks and complete the full 12-month fellowship.
Must not previously have received an EDCTP or Global Health EDCTP3 fellowship.
Desirable: pandemic preparedness/modelling experience and R/Python skills.
