Nursing Officer (Principal Nursing Officer)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide strategic and operational leadership, supervision and coordination of nursing and midwifery services.
2. Develop duty rosters, staff schedules and appropriate personnel deployment.
3. Ensure professional standards, clinical protocols, infection prevention and patient safety.
4. Coordinate nursing ward rounds, handovers, CMEs and professional development.
5. Monitor nursing documentation, patient care standards and compliance with Ministry of Health guidelines and hospital policies.
6. Collaborate with the Medical Superintendent and hospital management to improve healthcare delivery.
7. Coordinate reports, departmental meetings, performance appraisals and quality improvement.
8. Oversee nursing supplies and equipment management.
